Description:

The 1971 Leningrad built Foxtrot Class Submarine B-427 of The City of Long Beach.

Originally built for the Soviet Navy, she was transferred to the Russian Navy following the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, and was decommissioned in 1994. Leased by some Australian businessman in 1995, she was loaned as a Museum to the Australian National Maritime Museum. Presumably sold in 1998, she was relocated at Long Beach, United States for display. The B-427 was sold off to company Delaware North in 2011 and remained in place, but was closed in 2015, she now remains virtually abandoned next to the preserved Clydebank Built Ocean Liner QUEEN MARY (IMO 5287938) of 1936.

More info on her and her sister ships can be found at this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foxtrot-class_submarine
