Messrs
From what I see, these ships are using the same system with the ships LUZON STRAIT and LOMBOK STRAIT, this system increases the ability to load containers, but low to 2 wineries to load palletized cargo, making slower loading and unloading pallets..

Thank you Marcel & Ruud Coster for link showing sister vessel with similar deck layout. Interesting to see the doors open in what is more or less equivelant to an "above-the-deck-side-loader".

Thanks all for your interesting & informative comments. When I arrived at the port the pilot/linesmen were on the scene preparing for 13:20 hrs departure. Unfortunate I did not arrive earlier in the morning. With crew milling about, I would have asked to go on board and photograph deck from bridge. Being high tide there was no vantage point on shore to take closeup/overview deck shot of mid-section.

A) Extra crane stb side was placed to handle reefer container and placed to loose minimum decks space
b) Extra boxes on deck areside loading doors for palletized cargo
c) Box aft contains extra gen set to power the reefer container, Reason so high,,no other place available
a deck lower the housing could still go, but have to be turned then sideways, all in all pretty logical and thought good through

I think next to the cranes are door equiped with side loaders.
see an example on this on the picture of the wilson express

The ship was at upgrading repairs in Fujairah, inside the box on aft is an extra diesel-generator for powering reefer containers etc., side discharging ports are arranged not to disturb container ops and to provide weatherproofness during cargo ops, one extra crane for containers installed

I don't know that, ozzy76 !! ... but all those big/huge WHITE BOXES can not be seen on the photograph captured by Tommy Chia on June 04,2013 ( i.e. less than 1 year ago) :-)

..... and what on earth,, are also those extra huge white boxes located by the two deck cranes; :D

I believe that all those big/huge boxes have something to do with the ship, to be in service, as a specialized/advanced Reefer and also an eco friendly ship !? ..... or maybe I'm greatly mistaken.

No idea..But it has two vents on it..And what looks like an exhaust too..So some sort of Diesel Generator, maybe???
