Very well done - and quite impressive having in mind, that you didn't use a tripod, but only your bare hands!
Thanks for sharing ;-)
Best regards
/Søren

Not sure why would an author be offended by "what an ugly ship!" to the point he would leave the site because it's "deteriorating"?
Nice shot! / Kind regards! :D

The ship however looks like a livestock vessel to me. It is planned to let her operate out of Shanghai to capture the gambling money from the Chinese newly rich people. As a new, special feature she carries an observation capsule which carries 14 people and lift them over the edge of the ship or up to 90m high. We I saw the ship first at Stadersand, Elbe, I thought this may be a special mast which can be tilt. Which exitement comes next?

Jadran: totally agree. My theory is that Meyer has developed a "platform" which they can adjust for different owner. If I look at the QUANTUM, I see a hull shape, a bow and middle superstructure that look very much the same as those same areas on the NORWEGIAN BREAKAWAY and GETAWAY. The bridge area, top decks and stern are totally different of course, those are tailored to Royal Caribbean's requests.

Hello Jadran, thank you for posting such a delightful comment on one of my rare attempts of night photography:-)
To be frank, I only changed the ISO setting (pushed it to 3200), otherwise the camera was on automatic mode. The exif-data says "exposure time 1/13" if that helps.
All the best,
Jens
