Ken, I fully agree, but in this case the poster himself indicated that the slide was overexposed, which is tantamount to inviting people to attempt to rectify that IMHO.

You are quite right Pieter, we do not encourage the posting of members manipulated photo's, there is nothing wrong in manipulating a photograph if it can be improved, I have done it myself, but it should be done discreetly with the member concerned and not as a photo comment, if the member then chooses to substitute the amended photo with an acknowledgment then that is to everyone benefit.

Now we all know that digital manipulation is not very popular, but in this case the computer is your friend. I downloaded the shot and by reducing the exposure significantly and the contrast somewhat, I ended up with quite an acceptable shot. If you want, Rene, I could send it to you. (Site standards do not allow posting manipulated shots from other members as far as I know).
