Thanks for your comment, Roy. I guess we'll have to see if these letters will turn "regular MSC white", or will stay almost "Maersk blue"... :)

Yes probably the most rational explanation.
Or is it that DSME knows more about the ongoing blue/black combination......
Anyway thanks for the new shipyard pictures they are appreciated very much.

I also wandered about the color, but I think this is just some blue foil over white letters, otherwise this blue/black combination would not be very pleasant to the eye...
