Ferry Sorrento en route from Palma to Valencia caught fire on 28/04/2015 18 nm SW of Dragonera island. Ferry left Palma at 11:50 LT with 150 passengers on board. Fire quickly turned into major one, with a lot of smoke. So far no casualties reported, only minor injures related to smoke inhaling.
Later name : RENTO, 2016/03.
Broken up since 22/03/2016 at Aliaga (TUR).

Great shot of a sad image.I think we see it in this state because passengers left immediately and(i guess)fire was burning alive for hours.The most important is that there was no human loss.

Dear of dear, superstructure totally collapsed and warped due to the heat. Not much left of her. If her engine room is still good there might be a chance of a rebuild. If not, then it's game over.
