What a shame for the owner and the poor crew

Last dry-docking 6/6/2010. Also annual and intermediate hull and machinery surveys, including all the crane surveys long overdue. And a lot just coming up this summer. It is Equasis that has "class suspended".

Could be Captain Ted. Since Class was supended, as someone wrote here, oe woulthink that she would be mandatory for a drydock to have Class certificate re-instated, or if she has changed Class? Most serious Class societes would require that. Last Class was GL, which has been merged with DnV. Note her last recorded PSC was in 2013...

Re anchor chain
if she was re-classed then in order to inspect the chain it is lifted on deck with the anchor, easiest and cheapest way

A 15 year old Chinese build geared bulker with 17 months lay-up behind her, AND new owners...someone must have confidence in the bulker market now(May 2015) :-) . First impressions of a ship is usually what stays with you when you board a vessel. Thinks she needs a thourough blasting of the hull before any antifouling and paint is applied :-). The anchor chain on deck is perhaps she has lost and needs to replace the stbd anchor....

When i worked onboard one of the vessels in this company they suspended supplying their fleet with paint, if the ships are seldom coming to the ports which are convinient for them

Hoping for better things now that she has changed hands. Mind you, she has just been at anchor off Malta for 17 months - and GL class suspended after overdue surveys
