I m not fan of the name either, but i guess the team of the company acted in a strategic way, they decided a very simple name, away from "princess" "queen" etc, a name which noone forgets.

Mein Schiff 3 - what an original name! Why not dein, ihr, unser, eurer Schiff. Call it lack of phantasy, like the rest of the vessel and the graffity text on the hull.
