She had already engine troubles (damaged fuel valve) on 19th of May 2015 near Fair Isle channel during journey from Tranmere/Merseyside to Strude (Norway). (Source: Tim Schwabedissen). - Regards Peter

Note that she is at anchor. Possibly just getting under way, often a prodigious source of smoke but this is taking it to extremes.

@ FARGON,, the only way I know off to get this kind of smoke is when the engine does not get enough air in other words the turbo charger is down or malfunctions !!!!

She has a diesel engine. It is over fueling some thing fierce.

Or a soot fire in the exhausts (engine, boiler or gensets). Though smoke seems to be coming from somewhere stbd side of accom block, rather than funnel.

No way boiler,,most probably turbo charger down, then these amounts of smoke are created,,boiler would not even create half of this
