When this photo was taken she was owned by Stella Polaris SA (N.Alafassos) of Piraeus and chartered back to EAL (Europe-Afrika-Linien Gmbh)of Bremen in which her owner, Carl Meentzen, was a partner along with Krupp and Bereederungs - Alliance Flensburg GmbH

Let me add some details: Call signt DIHA; Owner of MOSSEL BAY was Globus-Reederei GmbH., Hamburg. Length 123,34 m, beam 16,57 m, depth 6,92 m. Grain 443.400 cbft, bales 408.400 cbft. 4 hatches: max. 14,66 m x 6,30 m, min. 11,68 m x 6,30 m. Derricks 8 x 5 tons, 1 x 15 tons, HLD 1 x 30 tons. Diesel 6 cyl.-2 stroke 6.750 hp 15 knots.
