I thought Scouser taxi-drivers (and most others anywhere else) drive in a suicidal way

When I arrived in Liverpool it was so murky our taxi driver behaved suicidal.

Hi Paul. I think (but could stand to be corrected) that the Seaforth container terminal will continue to operate for smaller container vessels. Regards. Barry

Is it possible that the new facility could replace the Royal Seaforth container dock?

Well caught Barry. And your link is interesting too.

I am always surprised that such a vessel can maintain stability with such a height of "cargo"

Now that will be interesting. The depth of the river in that area is something like 15m at low tide. The flood tide there is also pretty fierce which presumably is the reason why Liverpool's docks are all within locks in the first place.

It will be an on-river container terminal capable of simultaneously handling 2 of the world's largest container ships. Here's the publicity material from Peel Ports: http://peelports.com/liverpool2

I overlooked this new activity. So, no more waiting on the tide?
