Hi Eric. The way I see shipspotting it is simple: this is a hobby ( at least in my case). People that loves ships and shipping enjoy (or not...) ship photos. I know that some guys like to use other spotters shots in an unfair way or for personal gain...but at least I am sure that in this Shipspotting.com comunity everybody knows that I am the author-photographer. Writing-marking-labeling on he shot I think erases the visual value of the composition. Thats why I dont mark the shots...
Thanks for your kind comments.

Hi Pieter. Yes. ISO 100 its the one I use the most of the time in night-evening shots. That means high exposure time and a stable platform for the camera ( no tripod ) in this case the window lower frame together with a small table, the yellow pages and a couple of books more. Under the camera body a pack of cigarettes just to reach the angle of the shot...jejeje.
Thanks for your kind comments.

Hy Clyde. Well, I use to handle better ( in night -evening shots ) shooting with high exposure time,in the present case just 4 seconds and keeping low ISO for quality, no distortions, plain background and live realistic scene look. And about size, I use to upload in the range 1300-1600 pix wide the most of the times mainly for a couple of reasons: quality at just Full screen and to avoid-prevent third parties bad use of the shots...
Thanks for your kind comments Clyde.

Great shot, Ventuari, did you deliberately keep it ISO 100?

Hi Antonio. Well, with the help of a very helpful Hotel Bahía front desk lady. I got the exact room and floor I requested in advance. Top floor (10) and middle room for a complete view of that pier and terminal in particular.
Thanks for your kind comments.
MBregards from Tenerife.

PS. I forgot before to comment that Santander its a spotter friendly place with a lot of spotting locations close to the main acces channel to the docks and inner bay area.
