Cecilia Battistello formerly of Contship Containerlines used to use the line ' why ship on a boring black or grey hull ship when you can put it on a pink / yellow or turquoise coloured one ' - although it actually looks a little like what the Contship Ticino originally looked like with the all red upper works whereby she always looked sunburnt !!!
Then again maybe Jotun or Hempel marketing execs had a few too many liquid refreshments one day and thought to themselves ' let's see if we can out do our good work on the Hansevest bulk carriers' - and they succeeded !!!!

Ah, memories.
It's ssurprising that the container cranes at Eurokai are not now in varied hues

The lady M.D. formerly of Contship who liked bright colours, may be back in the industry

Hej there!
The sailors who have to work in the blazing hot Crane House in the tropics will hate the striking color scheme, that's for sure. But sailors are the shipping companies least concern when they think about color schemes, that's for sure as well.

Brand spanking new ship. Nice series. Colour scheme a real attention grabber...! :-)

It's said that British army tailors in the 19th Century went blind after years of working at close quarters on the famous red coats that soldiers wore. I reckon the crew of this vessel will go blind after a few months on board!

Saw her going up river. As I could only see a bit of her at first thought it was some kind of Antarctic vessel. She's not just bright but BRIGHT!!!

Blimey!
The jet-black cranes are very effective. It makes the funnel look very wishy-washy

Here we used to ask "what were they smoking"? ...

You definitely have to smoke something to decide to paint a ship this way ... or you are following the advice of some PR/Advertising/... guy who has done the smoking for you ...

Best regards,

Michael.
