WELCOME TO SHIPSPOTTING.COM
Description:
This is the "offshore corner" at DSME in Okpo.
The golden age of offshore industry is but a memory, and these are some of the latecomers to the scene: on the left there is a FPSO "Ichthys Venturer" (IMO No. 9657179), then there is a heavy load carrier "Mega Passion" (IMO No. 9528421), carrying the jack-up drilling rig "Maersk Invincible" (more on this extraordinary piece of engineering a bit later); and in the back on the right are two drill ships, "West Libra" (IMO No. 9709740) and "West Aquila" (IMO No. 9709738). Ah, and there is also a small diver support vessel "Taepyungyang No. 2005".
Like I said, the jack-up rig "Maersk Invincible" is really something: XLE4 type, Gusto MSC CJ70-X150MD design. From the official site:
Work area: North Sea
Hull dimension: 88.8 m x 102.5 m x 12 m (291 ft x 336 ft x 39 ft)
Length of legs: 206.8 m (678 ft)
Rated water depth: 150 m (492 ft)
Rated drilling depth: 12,000 m (40,000 ft).
...
Leg structure is obviously incomplete, you can see the attachments where upper sections will be welded. Material for rack/chords is ultra-high tensile steel, and welding and inspection procedures rival those of nuclear reactors, I am sure... :)

Sometimes I get the inspiration to write a bit more in the description, but usually I'm just too lazy... :)
For me, Clyde Dickens has excellent descriptions.
