The reason for tankers use wire and rope mooring lines is because the tanker must keep its position as accurate as possible when berthed alongside because a slight shifting ahead or astern may damage de loading equipment. This is a problem the bulker has not.
The wire provides that stiffness while the rope tail gives some elasticity to absorb the forces on the mooring line

She has wire mooring lines because you can see the polyprop tails leading out of the frame of the photo.
