David, "Wind HI HI" is an alarm for excessive wind speed.

What's the significance of "MIND HE HE" (or similar) above the bridge windows?

Just to confirm what the doots and Christian already wrote: yes, it's the "Sewol". The photo was taken one day after the "White Marlin" has brought her to Mokpo New port.

Cheers

Hello Pieter - certainely the ferry Sewol : same port of Mokpo and picture taken by Lappino in 2017 http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=2737734

That's got to be the Sewol, the time of the photo lines up with the salvage. The heavy lift vessel would be Dockwise White Marlin.

Perhaps we were busy discussing other things, but can anybody tell what the heavy load carrier in the background has on board? It looks like a ship on her side, with possible big damage in front of her deckhouse.

Thanks Pier Master. We are on course (he said, hopefully) for her to be named 'SFL Sabine' then :-)

Yes Pieter, many, many years ago but I don't remember the logo at all!

Rick, did you never play pac-man?

I have just noticed what appears to be her sister ship ( 'SFL Trinity' ??) In the building dock ahead of her.

Hi Pieter and Vlad, I am not sure what you mean as the pacman logo, I see a reef knot!
Please rename it as you wish, until we get confirmation of her identity.
All the best, Rick

Thanks for the info, Rick. Pieter, I will update the name to "Products tanker", then.

Rick, in the mean time I also discovered that it is Frontline that uses the packman logo. Shall we then in the mean adapt the ship's "name" to Daehan Products tanker?

Hi Vlad, vessel has the (Ship Finance International) Frontline logo on the bridge front.

I think this is the first unit (Daehan Hull No. 5015) of a 4 ship order of 114,000 dtw. LR IIs for the company.

Hull 5015 possibly to be named 'SFL Sabine' and on a 5 year Phillips 66 charter.

Ditto the second ship, & will be named 'SFL Trinity'. Hull No. & IMO unknown at this time.

See also HERE .

The packman sign on the deckhouse looks familiar, but I cannot, out of my head, relate it to a specific owner.
