When she was offshore and her cranes were in use Airforce Fighter pilots of nearby airforces had to be warned of her presence. I was one time offshore on a rig in the north sea and she passed nearby and she was big.
Times they are a changing!
Regards Frank

At nearly 40 years old, she has not had an unduly short lifespan

It's not an oil rig but a semi-submersible crane barge. It is self-propelled so conceivably could beach itself if necessary
MattyBoy on Sep 11, 2017 18:33 (6 months ago)
Question: how do you get an oil rig onto a beach?

Canīt wait to see it onboard Dockwise Vanguard in a few days. It is going to be one spectacular sight!
