If Carlo is giving us the correct date than the only option is IRAN ABAD
She was at Genoa from 28 Feb until sailing 17 March (a long period so she may have been repaired there ?)
IRAN NAHAD was attacked in the PG and was not in the Genoa area in March 1989
But again this is only valid if the date is correct !
Carlo can you confirm please

Further to this there is a choice of six: ARYA NAZ, GAM TAJ, PAS, NUR and TAB

In 1989 the NAZ was sailing as IRAN NAHAD (Sold in 1989 and Scrapped at Gadani in 1990 after being attacked)
GAM was IRAN MEEAD (scrapped 2003)
TAJ was IRAN ABAD, (scrapped 2001)
PAS was IRAN JAHAD (Scrapped 2001)
NUR was IRAN MEELAD Scrapped 2001)
TAB was IRAN ERSHAD Scrapped 2002)

Given that the only ship disposed of earlier was the NAZ and that disposal year was 1989, it may be that the picture shows the reason why it was sold. So possibly we are looking at the IRAN NAHAD. I do not have any casualty data for 1989, so may be somebody else can confirm this.

One of the Cockerill built Arya ships, with the distinctive V shaped twin funnel arrangement
