The project clearly didn't happen (and most of the website blanked), but found that the conversion was abandoned in 2014:

and a flavour of what was intended (and something on owner Thorwald Westmaas) [paste in the complete URL]

These ships are very seaworthy MattyBoy. Sailing around the world without any problem.

I think you touched the right point Theo!

Could it have to do with subsidies flowing in the EU to scrap fishing vessels in order to reduce fishing in general and then re sold "illegal" One sees sometimes in this areas vessels which are reported scrapped and then trading here. For someone makes somewhere money with that !!!!!

How far across the globe do these Dutch fishing vessels go? She's a long way from home.

Hi Jürgen, She was sold for scrap in July 2008 due to the Dutch redevelopment. Must have been resold by the scrapyard!

Hi Jurgen, we must have both been writing at the same time... do you agree with my assessment?

Appears to be IMO 8816106, however this ship is recorded as scrapped at Cartagena de Indias, Colombia around 01/07/2008.
Image HERE .
I rather think that the vessel was not fully demolished but refurbished and put back in service.
Many features are identical.
Regards, Rick
