I think this company Uiterwijk Lines was set up in Florida by a Dutchman with the same name of course, it was quite successful for a couple of years but then went bankrupt or just faded away, may be someone knows more about this Shipping Co.

I would say simple dunage or square timber for the container on deck. We used on our old ships a combination of 30x30 timber and steelplates to have some kind of permanent containersockets. The term "stackweight" was not invented yet :-) at that time

Hi Matty, some of those masts are still in place .I think 2 of them .I remember climbing one of them I think in 1961 or 62 when I was still an electrician apprentice and I got a severe scolding from my fitter in charge and chargeman as as an apprentice I should not have endangered myself, but what a view up there.I am sorry I did not take a camera with me. Adventures of the foolishness of youth so long ,long time ago.
regards and Seasons Greetings.

The deck looks great, all sorts of cargo on there. Container boxes look like they've just been slung on deck anywhere. Would they be locked with specialist fittings into position on the deck? Spare propeller also noted at stern. And the masts on the land behind - I wonder what year they came down.
