Description:

09.02.2018 Flensburg - the newbuilding W.B. Yeats after fixing the 3 accomodation parts on the ships hull. According local media the schedule sees first sea trials in May this year and delivery of the vessel end of june 2018.
By size she is the biggest vessel ever build by the FSG but Irish ferries already ordered a second one which will be even bigger

Running into a head sea on that ship, would be like running at it with a spoon on your bow. The way that the gingerbread runs down from the deck above makes a perfect scoop.

The foredeck is at the same level with the aft mooring deck, immediately above the car deck. It doesn't look particularly low to me if you cover the tall deckhouse with your hand - it's probably higher than the minimum bow height determined by the freeboard calculations.

Only a naval architect who does not know what a storm is, can designing a ship with such a low bow.
