The overall design (which I like a lot) reminds me of "The Fifth Element's" Fhloston Paradise Hotel and that movie was released in 1997. Sometimes I wonder where designers get their ideas from... :-)

I have to say that I think the overall shape is exciting. I like the bow. I like the funnel idea, but wish it had been styled a little differently. The elevator platform on one side only looks terrible! Out of place, like an unfinished construction.
