Well sure Vlad,,the bigger,,the cheaper they transport,,which means smaller units can,t compete,,so scraping will increase. Lets hope it is for the good, at least newer units can and should be build by higher standards which overall is good.

Michael, it is also not really pleasant to crawl up and down the hull inspecting welded joints. :)
Good to have you back commenting on large container vessels, Captain Ted. Boom or not, after the completion of this series, there'll be more for Hyundai Merchant Marine (both in Daewoo and Samsung).
But I am also expecting scrapping levels to increase significantly.
