But in the meantime it is still upside down !

Looks like the photo wasn't saved before it was uploaded here, so on a PC it goes back to its default position but on a iphone its the right way up. this was how it explained to me.

It's certainly a strange one. On here it's upside down. Download it to my laptop it's right way up. Look at it on my iPad, it's right way up. It looks like the early comments blaming the OP may have been a bit premature, as it probably looked OK to him. It's seems to be an IT issue beyond my knowledge.

Sorry for late reply David yes iphone.

@PaulF: is it an iPhone?
I have report from another member that they see it the right way up on their iPad, but not on other devices.
According the the Exif, it was taken with an iPad - and I see that the exif includes "Orientation: Rotate 180"
I have PM'd the member, but am leaving this in "Holding" in case IT need to study it; it will be deleted later.

When I downloaded the photo it flipped automatically..

Now I know the secret, for getting lots of views and comments. Don't take a brilliant picture, just post it upside down.

Same for me Paul, but then suddenly all the text is upside down.
Paul Finnigan on Jul 27, 2019 08:35 (24 days ago)
Strange if I view this photo on my phone itís the correct way up but when I view it on my PC itís up side down.

Nice and sharp reflection but the ship itself is a bit blurry :-)
spotti on Jul 26, 2019 18:39 (25 days ago)
I have always believed in "bottoms up"! This must be the final proof! Or what?
Bob Scott on Jul 26, 2019 18:28 (25 days ago)
simonwp: as I was reminded by a very long-serving admin some time ago when I complained: there is no rule against sharing on Facebook, etc.
Marc Pingoud on Jul 26, 2019 17:58 (25 days ago)
😂😂😂 you may are right simonwp - therefore it's "on holding for final decision"!
simonwp on Jul 26, 2019 17:54 (25 days ago)
Robert West is absolutely right......I've just checked the photo rules, there are more than enough do's and don't's, but there is nothing that says the ship should be the right way up. Therefore it should not be considered for deletion.

and it's in the Southern Hemisphere !!!!
libertyshiplad on Jul 26, 2019 17:08 (25 days ago)
Great comment Robert, really made me chuckle !
Robert West on Jul 26, 2019 17:02 (25 days ago)
Can't see what's wrong. The horizon looks level and the ship is not obscured.
simonwp on Jul 26, 2019 16:19 (25 days ago)
Bob Scott...Ö..Quicker decisions?????, it's only been posted a couple of hours. I'm very critical of the admins at times, but they do need to have a little time to do their stuff. As for "Most Viewed", it's not as if they've linked the shot to multiple Facebook posts to get hits, is it????
Bob Scott on Jul 26, 2019 15:31 (25 days ago)
Another one guaranteed a place in the "Most viewed". Quicker decisions needed?
Pieter Inpyn on Jul 26, 2019 15:01 (25 days ago)
No, they do not. Also many 'forget' the "this ship" button after posting and do not see the mistake of posting in the wrong category.
adenanthos on Jul 26, 2019 13:49 (25 days ago)
I really don't get this, are people not checking how their entry actually appears on the site ?
