B.P. Tanker Co. Ltd.'s 1953 Hawthorn Leslie, Hebburn (Tyneside) built BRITISH FLAG is seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth exactly fifty years ago today, on 23rd February 1971.
BRITISH FLAG was soon sold for breaking, arriving at Burriana in eastern Spain on 19th July 1971.
