She must to stay on Lerwick anchorage as “klondiker”, for freezing mackerel and herring, received form Shetland fishing boats.
The refitting consist:
On the deck was mounting fish receiver and hydraulic fish sorter.
On the factory was installed two modern deep freeze machine.
All factory equipment were rebuild from stainless steel.
But factory was not equipped any head cutter machine and fillet making equipment.
After repair in Hull, vessel visited Poland, where trawler winch and stern bridge were dismounting.
Unfortunately due human mistake one diesel generator crankshaft was broken. From this moment the ships electric power supply is not enough for deep freeze and cargo hold temperature maintenance. Fiasco…
From 1992 used as refrigerator fish career only.
In November 1993 was fire on board in Kirkenes, Norway, during crew change. Nobody injured.
After four months repair on Kverner Kimek AS , continued work.
Broken up in 1995 in India.
