Description:

The JJ Sietas built coaster EVA V (IMO5002467), leaking in Brest roads, November 2nd 1980. Some hours before, she had grounded on rocks near Molene Island (Off Brittany). Then re-floated and proceeded to Brest with a leak in the foreward peak.
The tug (DUGUAY-TROUIN) in the background is proceeding at full speed to the scene with pumps.
She left Brest on December 29th 1980, bound to Plymouth to be scrapped. But on January 2nd 1981, she arrived at Penzance where she stayed till March 16th 1981. During her call, her main engine was removed and transfered to GLORIOSA (CYP/1953/590gt/5262134) which had suffered an engine breakdown in October 1980.
She left Penzance for a demolition yard towed by the coaster CARO (HND/1957/424gt/5177078) but the tow broke on 18 March, and EVA V went aground and was lost on North Devon coast.
