Vessel was built in 1944 as one of a series; design type 'N3-S-A2', by Pennsylvania shipyards, Beaumont, Texas, USA (308), as:-
'Phineas Winsor' for the U. S. War Shipping Administration, to 1947,
'Pebane' (Compañía Colonial de Navegación, Lisbon, Portugal) to 1956 &
'Bahia Santiago de Cuba'(Golfo, Cuba) until broken up in Havana, Cuba in 1985.

1,896 g.t. & 2,757 dwt.

Engine: Steam, 2 Foster Wheeler boilers. Tandem steam compound of 1,300 HP, manufactured by Ajax Uniflow Co., Corry, Pasadena, U. S. A.

Thank you René, & also to D. Freeman. Photos of N3's are rare enough, and of this Cuban vessel, even more so. It is so rich in detail and, to my eyes, a wonderful sight!
