Callsign of "Carmania" was GSJS, if I recall correctly.

Thanks guys for some of the info, old plastic mounts for Ilford slides never had a date so good to at least get an approx. date.

WOW!!! Leonid Sobinov and Fedor Shalyapin, I have handled both vessel many times when they were working between Novorossiysk and Istanbul as passanger vessels, later both sold to scrap to India.

Believe she left Southampton for Falmouth during summer of 1972

Interesting views, I would suggest taken during 1973 but prior August when sold to Russians who r/n Leonid Sobinov. Scrapped in 1999 after a period in lay-up.
