Hi Derek, thank you:-)

Yes, no pain, no gain... but sometimes it's a bit annoying. Nowadays Hamburg harbour seems to be a giant construction site.

The place where I took this photo was usually quite easy to access, now you have to crawl around the muddy (and somewhat steep) river banks. Lucky me, it was low tide...

Cheers,
Jens

I had to get up early... It was my day off today but yesterday I forgot to leave a key at work and took it home. So I had to return it early this morning. And as sunrise was at 8.10 I decided to take the camera with me and roam the harbor and the Elbe afterwards.

By the way... I have no idea what she might be discharging other than iron ore.

Can not agree more about the conditions Jens, they're not at all common in january.
Personally I could not convince myself to get up timely enough to catch the morning sun;)

Hello David, thanks a lot!:-)

Though the result were muddy shoes and dirty trousers (as you might have noticed today), I must admit that these are my (very personal of course) photos of the day. The conditions were simply great, it almost felt like spring.

Cheers,
Jens

Fantastic shot Jens! Great light and reflections!

I actually wonder what she discharges, since she is different from the usual bulker-stuff, which call at the ArcelorMittal plant with iron ore.

Best regards,
David
