I will say that even the ex Ludwig tankers operated by Concordia to the Delaware Showed no outward decay. The Maintenance culture was king.

No rust was evident when Concordia ran these ships.

She and her sister were built by Concordia in conjunction with Sun Oil of Philadelphia for service to the Delaware. Hence the wide beam and shallower draft lessened the lightering necessary to get the right draft to navigate upriver to Fort Mifflin Terminal.

Aleksi, Yes her and the sister 'GENMAR VISION' have the widest beam of any tankers still in service today. Even the next two down at 68.00m beam are the 440,000 dwt 'TI EUROPE' and 'OVERSEAS LAURA LYNN'. Then we drop right down to 61.00 for the next on the list, 'HERBY' OF 317,130 dwt.
Best Regards
John

Anyone can confirm she is the widest tanker around? Great photo by the way Markus, she was again in Rotterdam last week.

Cheers,
Aleksi

Only misses some shark mouth bow graffiti...
But seriously, the beam of 70m can't make one stay unimpressed.
