I'm curious, what will happen with this vessel.

MIGHTY SERVANT 3 showing destination as Angra dos Reis, which is nowhere near Açu. But maybe they have some sort of engineering base there - or it's subcontrcted to an established yard there.

One to watch, I think, Hannes.

@Hannes. Don't know what you mean by "still" in service. It's a completely new yard. Here's where they had got to by early 2013:
http://worldmaritimenews.com/archives/78567/time-lapse-video-shows-construction-of-osxs-ucn-acu-shipyard/
Since then they have gone bankrupt following the cancellation of 11 products tankers. There only other order is SAPURA ESMERALDA (Yard No.1).

What it is supposed to be like (see the OSX yard area):

Does this look like a functioning shipyard:

(the Google map image cannot be very old, as the Wartsila facility is shown as built - it opened in March)

Hi Davidships.

According Lloyds, the Brasilian shipyard OSX is still in service.

Launched a year ago by IHC Offshore & Marine BV, Hardinxveld and extensively outfitted, why is SAPURA ESMERALDA being dry-shipped? Have they left something to be done so that completion and "Brazilian-built" can be claimed by OSX, the Brazilian company currently in court-supervised financial reconstruction after bankruptcy - no sign that their shipyard in Açu, Rio de Janeiro State, is anywhere near functioning yet.
