@MK. Thanks for your explanation. It is, of course, up to you to do as you wish with your own comments. But it is a pity to remove your extra information:

a) it's interesting, and will remain so as new viewers see the photos
b) it would save other people spending their time hunting for the same information
c) it would avoid the conversation becoming confusing (seeing replies to something that is invisible)

As you are going to hit the delete button again, I will keep the info below

best wishes
David

M.K.'s info:
1. I had written some posts here indentifying the thing. In fact she came to Valetta at some 9:30 local time, She is hull Arcadia 85 type name RJ, hull #8, length 26m, and was built 10 hulls of that. This is a US Version. If you look in this link you will find the whole history about the models of Arcadia a company in Napoli. http://www.charterworld.com/news/tag/arcadia-85
She came to Valetta from an USA port.

Thanks guys, mystery solved, thanks to everyone even our still mysterious friend. Now I wonder what RJ stands for some owner initials? regards from hot and hot Malta.

..... well I see, at the end of the story, that the yacht RJ and our member M.K. were today in the main role !!! :D

David, you're my hero!:-)

No, I must admit I wasn't thinking about RJ III. I don't know much about yachts.... other than that I know I'd like to own one:-))

RJ is the correct name
80gt
owner: R J Leasing Ltd, Malta
flag MTA
c/s 9HB4514
MMSI 248000882
no IMO

@Jens: You may be thinking of "RJ III". The current master of RJ was previously captain of RJ III from 2010-2014 (or it's the same one renamed).

Hi Jens , these deletions are frustrating, and why he is doing it is beyond my comprehension. He just cut a chain into various parts by deleting his worthwhile comments. I hope that no one else gets to imitate our friend MK. Best regards.

Edit
comment

person
Yes, Emmanuel, these deletions are really annoying. As for his second comment I still had the same problem as you with his first: I couldn't decide which part of his answer was the name of the yacht:-)

I guess if he doesn't comment once more she'll remain a mystery for a while longer...

Edit
comment

person
Jens, I did not see his second comment asking why she has not been renamed...that what happens when this mystery man M.K. deletes his comments...you cannot go back to it. still I tried googling various names such as RJ and RJ 85, but I only got yachts for sale etc. Arcadia is a company established in Monaco building these yachts, but no names for their yachts are given. still a mystery...regards.

Jadran, you may be right with RJ (but I think I remember a number following... RJ8)???

Edit
comment

person
Yes Jadran, M.K at one time quoted the name RJ, but I don't know if he was sure about it, maybe M.K himself would confirm...by deleting his comments M.K makes it impossible to go back and check. regards.

In MK's first comment (which was the second comment after Pieter Melissen) to this photo he identified the yacht as an Arcadia 85 type RJ don't know what, I forgot, see your first comment below, Emmanuel:-)

In his second comment he asked why the photo had not yet been renamed as he already had identified the yacht.

He deleted both comments, as usual, so that others (like Jadran) who didn't see these comments, can't make sense of some (or all) remaining answers...

Emmanuel,, to simplify ... if I correctly recall (sorry if not), then the yacht's name is: RJ

Edit
comment

person
Sorry Jadran, but I don't know whom you are refering to, MK and RJ ? cannot recall anyone with those initials, What is the mystery here (apart from the vessel name)?....cannot make heads or tails of it. Can you be more specific....and why is this guy deleing his comments? regards dear friends.

Edit

Emmanuel :-))
I'm not sure,, not sure now,, but try with the name: RJ

... I'm just slightly recalling something (don't ask me what ! )

Jadran, unfortunately our member MK always deletes all his comments and forum posts after a certain amount of time. Don't ask me why....

Who is M.K. to whom are Emmanuel and Pieter replying with one of their below comment ?
I don't see any comments of M.K. in this thread !!!

Thanks for the link Bjorn, very interesting even though a bit dated. And yet she is still not been identified. regards and thanks.

She is not solar power driven, the solar panels feeds instrumentation, lighting etc. She is driven by 2 MAN R6.730 Diesels.

"Motor-yacht"? Looks like some sort of clandestine naval craft.

Thanks for the link Bjorn, again "interesting" is as kind as I can manage. But each to their own.

@ pieter melissen: Let the sun shine on her - and maybe your opinion may change - from grey into - I don´t know...

@M.K. no I have not enough money to buy, but if I had I I would never enjoy it. Probably design wise and technically it is a very advanced ship, but it simply does not appeal to me. I hope you will not confuse good taste with jealousy, because those are different things.

@ pieter melissen: Sorry, Pieter, form is not color.

If I were the sun I would never shine on her...and btw does colour also follow function?

Edit

She is a solarmodul-driven leisure-yacht: Form follows function. Can´t understand the complaints.

Same question here William, looking at various yacht designs like this vessel, the A ,and others...yacht design has sunk to a low level (no pun intended) from various modern designers.Regards.

Hi Steve, When I first saw her heads on at the harbour mouth I thought that she was a military craft, some patrol boat, her colour, low superstructure....well she is not my kind of design for a yacht, nothing elegant here. regards.

This vessel looks sneaky. Where are motor yacht designs going?

Ha Ha!!!...My wife has just commented that it looks like a less-than-popular item from IKEA....

A bit weird looking for my taste....Is Darth Vader on board?
Interesting though...you certainly get some variety Emmanuel, there in Malta: Brilliant stuff...please keep them coming.
