I am not really sure about the plastic covers for the propeller, Tom. Propeller blades' edges are additionally protected by hard plastic covers, and that serves against mechanical damage; once the welding of the stern block start, additional protection will be added in the form of tarpaulin covers. As for the polyethylene covers, my idea is that it's to protect the blades against fine paint spray particles, that would make the surface rougher, and in need of additional polishing.

Interesting, unusual picture, good quality. The prop appears to be covered with polythene ??? If so, why?
