Interesting but frozen cold visit to the old U3. Bad weather in Malmö during the day.

Modernized at Kockum's shipyard in Malmö between August 1952 and April 1953.
Taken out of service in 1963.

Waaaw very well preserved hope we never have to see such an awesome vessel having to be used for what it was used for but i am now just turned 5o hopefully the world is a much calmer place great super picture though 10/10 for that

It is Ok my friend,we all have priorities,even me a 74years old retiree has got to arrange my hobby to fit in my family and personal life.
Great to hear you can be in Malta in late November, like to meet you.This site is great for making friends globally and even greater when you get to meet personally.

Hi Emmanuel. Sorry for the late answer. Im out of my home port...Agree with you about the mine but anyway looks great just in front of the subs bow...jejeje. Interesting visit to the inside, very well mantained and friendly ex crew mwmbers explaining everything. A must for submarine lovers... Thanks for your kind comments my friend and thinking about a short trip to Malta in late Nov.

I hope she never got that close to that mine beneath her bow when in service.
