Thank you for your comments.
Syzygy, you've reminded me of the votive ships in Croatia - there are mostly just models on the shelves, rarely suspended like the ones in, say, Norway... Those models also frequently lack the finesse and details of the "proper" model ships, but still convey the faith and love of those who made them.

Cheers

Vlad

It reminds me of those votive ships that can be seen in churches in some European countries.

Thank you all for your comments. Just like Shaun/Tarbatness mentioned, a scene like this can be glimpsed in any major shipyard in South Korea on a launching/floating day, when it's necessary to transport a tug to the far side of the dock, and the size of ships does not leave enough space for a tug to squeeze through "conventionally"...
The first time I saw this arrangement at Samsung I thought it was just some maintenance/repair process. Also worth mentioning is that the tug is transported without her crew.

Cheers

Vlad

An interesting way to measure the lightweight. Is she heading for the scrapyard?

Used to love watching the tugs being lifted into the building docks at DSME in Okpo on float out day of new builds. Great shot.

Now there's something that you don't see every day. What a great shot, nicely done, Vlad.

Thank you Brett and Csaba. The yellow cabin is for carrying personnel onto a ship during launching/floating, but it just happened to be in the frame; it has nothing to do with this tug.
