Yes maybe, but I certainly like this one.
I don't often get the chance to browse the photos on the site anymore.

best regards

Same for me, but hope to have more time for the hobby ! I try to take photos from different but usual angles. Sometimes this is possible by use of harbour-ferry in Hamburg :-) Of course happy you like the result !

I have only been to Hamburg once when the ferry ran from Parkeston Quay direct to Hamburg. I took one of the harbour trips maybe I upload some of the shots one day, from 1977!

best regards
Derek

Hey, that would of course be nice !! I do remember the DFDS ferry "Prince of Scandinavia" very well :-) Done many Hamburg-Harwich trips with excursions to Colchester and the Cream Tea at the George Hotel.. no more trips like these, unfortunatelly.

Think it was the Prinz Hamlet when I made the trip and they berthed at St Pauli pier in those days.
What a coincidence my wedding reception was held in the George hotel, Colchester. A long while ago now guess you were only a girl then!

I was in my 20ies then 8-) .. together with a few other ferry-interested folks. Most of them are doing cruises now, while I seemed to get stuck at the freighters. But it's actually been the ferries which "introduced" me into the shipping interest first. I think, the George Hotel generated a good amount from daytrippers from continental Europe these days.
