I just went through the pictures in her web page. In the June and July 2009 pictures EYE OF THE WIND sails under the Danish flag, homeported at Gilleleje. She is in German ownership since April 1, 2009. When Anthony Timbs, her owner / part owner since 1973 sold her to Ole Petersen, a Danish-American (Prime Time Ltd., Guernsey) in May 2001 the true brigantine (not a brig) remained under the British flag and her old homeport Faversham. passed away in early 2007 or late 2006.

The pictures on EYE’s hompage showing her under the red ensign aren’t dated which makes me guess that these pictures from the times before the German Forum Media Group / Ronald Herkert acquired her. It isn’t uncommen that German owners let their sailing vessels sail under the British or Danish flags.

The following link confirms that on October 1, 2009 the EYE is still homeported at Gilleleje:

Thanks for posting the picture, it made me search for an update of my files on her:
http://www.eyeofthewind.net/index.php/en.html

EYE OF THE WIND now is back to German ownership although she seems to fly the red ensign.

Regards,
Werner
