Description:
One of a series from Clelands for Prince Line and associated companies the Cotswold Prince was completed in 1970. Sold in 1979 and renamed Fijian she ran from New Zealand to Fiji until 1981 when she began trading around New Zealand as Onehunga. In 1983 she reverted to Fijian and in 1989 once again became Cotswold Prince, although when I took this photo about 2002 the only visible name was Onehunga. She is lying at Beauty Point, downriver from Launceston and, despite her air of decrepitude, was patched up sufficiently to be granted a certificate of seaworthiness for a trip to breakers at Mumbai where she arrived 12 October 2004.
Former name(s):
- Fijian (Until 1989 Jul)
- Cotswold Prince (Until 1979)
