Description:

Blue Funnel Line's Dundee built MARON, launched in February 1960, was in 1975 renamed RHEXENOR (as photographed sailing from Birkenhead on 9th April 1977) and then OPOBO in 1977 for service on Elder Dempster Lines trades to West Africa; sold to Greece in 1978 to become EUROPE II, she was laid up at Eleusis on 26 March 1982 and was reactivated only to sail for breakers at Aliaga where she was beached on 5 April 1987
