"Lindenau Shipyard" was a German shipbuilding company and was founded in 1919 by shipbuilding engineer Paul Willy Lindenau (1882-1955), located in Memel,East Prussia. Freightes,passenger ship,towboats,salvors,ferries and barges were built here. In 1922 the first big iron steamer"CATTARO" (Displacement::1424 t) was constructed in this shipyard.The biggest cargo vessel was excursion motor ship "HELGOLAND" (Displacement:: 2947 t) ,that was sunk on the bollards in May,1938.During the Second World War mine trawler were being built in this place(Link here :http://www.wehrmacht-history.com/shipyards/lindenau-shipyard-memel.htm ) In 1944 the shipyard was evakuated,and after the it set upin Kiel- Friedrichsort(Germany)-http://www.lindenau-shipyard.de/Index.html From 1945 up till now here is a dockyard.
