To complement Bob Scott's photograph of PLOTINOS..

LONDON CITIZEN, built 1965 at Uddevalla, Sweden, for London & Overseas Freighters Ltd.

1977-sold to "London Greek" owner John D.Polemis and renamed PLOTINOS. Laid up at Argostoli on 23.12.81; lay up transferred to Galaxidi in June 1982.

1986-sold to Intertrans Shipping, Piraeus and renamed VITO for trip to breakers at Alang, India. She sailed from Piraeus on 11 August for Mokha, arriving 10 September, then proceeding direct to Alang.

Photographed in the St.Lawrence Seaway in December 1967, probably by Marc Piché.

Wonderful photo of a fine looking vessel. Her booms are set for an ocean crossing, and she is low in the water carrying a good load. She truly is a fine citizen of the U.K.

Hello Malcolm

This slide was actually taken by my friend and mentor, Capt John Low, while the ship was downbound on the St.Lawrence River off my hometown of Verchères. I was still a university student at the time and could not afford to buy a 35mm SLR camera...
