Description:

The 1969 Skaramanga built NEA HELLAS was photographed approaching the locks at Brunsbuttel on 15 June 1975 inbound to the Baltic from Cienfuegos, Cuba.

Renamed AEGIS FREEDOM by Papalios in 1976, she was laid up at Piraeus on 23.10.84. Sold in 1985, she commenced trading as SYBIL I only to drag her anchor in the River Mississippi, and run aground in the Southwest passage, on 27.10.85, was abandoned by her crew and wrecked.

It is interesting to note from the automatic renaming information that she may have been sold by Papalios immediatley on arrival at Piraeus in October 1984. However, Lloyd's Shipping Index indicates that she was renamed after May 1985.
