Completed during August 1987 by Okean Shipyard, Oktyabrskoye, Ukraine (85), 6,292 g.t. and 2,621 dwt., as:-
'General Petrov' to 2003,
'Duvankoy' to December 2009 and
'An Xing Hai' since.
Chinese flagged registered at Dalian.

Until recently she has been operating as an Antarctic Krill fishing vessel operating with a fishing license issued by the Convention on the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR).
CCAMLR are a part of the Antarctic Treaty.
The CCAMLR license issued to An Xing Hai was valid from 1 December 2010 to 31 May 2011 and allowed her to fish solely for Antarctic Krill (Euphausia Superba) using midwater gear only.
The license also grants her fishing rights only in three CCAMLR operating areas, which are areas 48.1 (Antarctic Peninsula), 48.2 (South Orkney Islands) and 48.3 (South Georgia).
I am unsure whether she will resume fishing in the Antarctic areas.
Now owned by Liaoning Pelagic Fisheries Co., Ltd.
Dalianwan, Ganjingzi District, China, but ultimately the vessel is trading in collaboration with J. Marr Seafoods of Hull, UK.
