ELSE SKOU, photographed on the North Sea Canal by the late G.Bunschoten was operated by Ove Skou between 1947 and 1963
Built at Bremen in 1926 as the Rotor Ship BARBARA, she became BIRKENAU in 1933 and converted into a conventional motorship, being further modified in 1949.
