Great information! Do you know if there is any publications regards these conversions? I understood a second ship was supposed to be rebuilt as well.
This ship was called ''Scorpios'' but I can not find any detail on this ship. I am interested in finding out more for my research/art project on modern sailing ships.
I'd love to make drawings of the vessel!
Best wishes
Alexander

Yes, Jeffrey, it´s Balboa anchorage area in the Pacific side of Panama, in the entrance to de Panama Canal, or the port of Balboa, the Panama city port, just at the left side ( let´s say...) outside the entrance West to East. In my photo your father´s ship it´s anchored ( look at the black ball hanging forward...and the anchor´s chain...) may be waiting pier to go alongside at Balboa, or waiting turn to proceed to the Panama Channel, or doing some repairs ór waiting orders... Anyway, our ship was anchored netx to Sam G. too, beautiful classic ship the Sam G. and anchored at Balboa, anchorage area.

Ventuari
