AL MEDINA is seen at Kiel in August 1982 by Gerhard Fiebiger.

Built at Elsinore in 1958 as COLORADO for D.F.D.S. of Copenhagen, she was sold in 1968 to the newly formed Eastern Africa National Shipping Line Limited ("EANS") and renamed UGANDA.

Sold in 1980, when EANS was placed into voluntary liquidation, to Univan of Hong Kong, she was briefly renamed KITMEER.

Resold in 1981 to AHMED ABDUL QAWI BAMAODAH of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, she was renamed AL MEDINA, then AL MADINA in 1985 and A.ALAMDAR, under Holbud management, in 1986.

She finally arrived at Alang on 21.4.88 to be broken up
