History repeats itself sometimes, well...
Does anyone remember the incident of COLUMBUS C of Costa Crociere ?!
Built 1953 as KUNGSHOLM (Swedish American) and former EUROPA (Norddeutscher Lloyd).
On 29 July 1984 her keel fouled the rocks near a breakwater in Cadiz - Spain.
She managed to reach the quay but sank alongside afterwards.
On 1 November 1984 (3 months later)she was refloated, laid up and on 2 April 1985 COLUMBUS C arrived at Barcelona under tow where she was scrapped.
regards, Paul
