Hi Julian, thanks for that update. It is a pity that she will not be afloat, but I am pleased that she is going to be preserved and not scrapped at the deaguaces!

Hi again Rick,
Unfortunately, she will not return to the water. When the preservation work completed, she can be accessed, but in the same site where this now...

Hi Julian, great photo and an interesting perspective. I have just researched the vessel a little bit ( http://www.diariovasco.com/v/20110226/cultura/jaizkibel-empezara-lucir-buena-20110226.html ) and note that there is a €400,000 preservation fund. The work seems to be progressing well.
I hope that she has many years of life left afloat and under preservation.
Regards, Rick

Thanks for you compliment,Manuel
It's sad that no they had made them earlier, surely it could have survived in the water. But better that, than anything.

A very interesting view, apart from a good photo, it's nice to know that being repaired to preserve it. Kind regards, Manuel.

Hi Denis,
Specifically it was built between the years 1933 and 34 in the already missing Euskalduna shipyards of Bilbao, riveted steel
Bst rgds.
