Bob, glad u enjoy the flying experience. I personally prefer helicopters than fixed-wing aircraft. Helicopter allow me to go closer and I have control over my speed and height at the same time thus the more "dramatic" angles that I can capture. We are one of the leading aerial, marine & offshore photographers here in S.E. Asia. Many vessels come by Singapore & Malaysia. In 2011, the daily average number of ships in Singapore's water is 1,000. I get to be airborne once a week for land or sea projects.

FotoFlite, the European market leader in aerial ship photography, use fixed-wing aircraft (Piper Seneca) which are a lot cheaper to operate than helicopters. I had a day out with them once; flying at 150 knots, at 50 ft altitude with the door removed and flying level with the fo'c'sle of a large bulker to photograph it with a standard, 50mm lens. Most exhilarating!

Tks Paul, Knut, Mark, Bob and Ismail for your encouragement nd kind words.. I really enjoy what I'm doing.
Hope to find time to share some more of my work.
Bob, the few pilots I work with has come to know my style so we coordinated and work well with each other. They are great pilots.

Not a bulker but an ore carrier. There is a difference and also a separate sub-category for these specialist bulk carriers.
